Graduate School USA (GSUSA) is currently seeking a Senior Sales and Operations Manager to assist leadership with driving and managing all aspects of the Sales function. The successful candidate will develop and implement effective operational sales performance evaluation systems and reporting structures for GSUSA sales force to include monitoring of realistic sales forecasting methodologies based on historical data, market trends, analysis of competitor activity, promotional strategies and enhanced sales efforts.  This candidate will be responsible for measurable sales for training, professional services and other GSUSA products in the Federal workplace.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, enhanced and innovative sales techniques for the GSUSA sales team.
  • Analyze actual performance metrics (revenues/orders/expenses) and communicate results to senior leadership.
  • Develop enhanced and innovative sales techniques for the GSUSA sales team.
  • Monitor performance of GSUSA sales force and implement improved systems for performance evaluation.
  • Manage GSUSA “capture teams” and leads their efforts to identify, attain, and preserve new and additional business for GSUSA products and services.
  • Review current sales systems and improve sales forecasting methodologies using contemporary sales techniques including historical data, market trend analysis, competitor analysis, etc.
  • Train GSUSA sales force and ensure adherence to approved sales processes.
  • Develop new sources of business for GSUSA products and services and coordinate with the Vice President, Business Relations and Learning Solutions to agree on measurable levels of business.
  • Work closely with GSUSA subject matter experts (SME’s) to formulate and implement high-value client-based products and solutions.
  • Assess potential Federal agency targets and customize business development to capture new business.
  • Work with the GSUSA Proposal office to develop positive and workable responses to opportunities.
  • Ensure GSUSA sales force correctly applies CRM (Salesforce) and other sales applications.
  • Identify and participate in local and distance marketing, sales and networking events and serve as the professional representative of GSUSA at these events.
  • Improve and enhance current GSUSA sales team metrics and report refined data analysis to GSUSA Leadership as directed.
  • Liaise with GSUSA marketing and communications staff to plan and implement advertising, promotional, and other communications efforts to increase business and revenue.
  • Assists Director, Research, Evaluations and Records Management with the logistics of the Graduate School’s formal graduation exercise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • B.S. Degree in Marketing, Business or business-related field.
  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of sales/business development experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience in sales operations and/or business systems.
  • Track record in driving change and removing hurdles by working cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance and IT.
  • Experience with government-wide and schedule procurement vehicles as well as the government contracting processes and practices.
  • A background in Business Development successfully selling Training and Management consulting services to the Federal Government.
  • Strong network of current executive and line management relationships at key Federal agencies and prime contractors.
