SUMMARY 

Graduate School USA is currently seeking a Program Manager to successfully manage and support a variety of assigned GSUSA programs and courses, including communication, leadership, project management and business analysis.  Provide leadership in managing and marketing courses in these program areas to support Curriculum Directors. The successful candidate’s role will also be a shared resource for two curriculum program areas:  Communications & Professional Skills (CAPS) and Management Sciences. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Consult with Business Development (BD) and client agency officials to conduct preliminary organizational training and assessment. Determine what customization, if any, is needed for CAPS/EXMS/MGSC open enrollment (OE) courses based upon the client agency’s training needs, goals, and drivers. When necessary, directly assist in the customization.
  • Solicit and select instructors for onsite (OS) contract training courses based upon the client agency’s needs and the instructor’s degree of expertise, availability, and any other pertinent factors.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and recommend, review, and draft ongoing and one-time marketing messages, including targeted messages to federal training leaders, officers and managers, based upon current trending topics in the curriculum area of expertise.
  • When directed by the Curriculum Directors, observe and audit instructors and complete required assessments, identify discrepancies, and recommend actions.
  • Monitor courses and programs to ensure appropriate curriculum design and delivery modes.
  • Oversee the financial and human resources management for the assigned program area.
  • Plan and execute all logistical arrangements for assigned programs.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of instructors, participants and staff
  • When directed by Curriculum Directors, coach, counsel, and advise staff and participants.
  • Manage course scheduling from initiation to final delivery and closeout.
  • In close collaboration with the Curriculum Directors, determine when and where courses/programs will be offered.
  • Identify, select and assign instructors or SMEs to deliver the courses and programs.
  • Evaluate program/course feedback, analyze participant/student data to make course/program recommendations
  • Remain aware of current government and market changes/trends to identify areas for additional market penetration.
  • Liaise with students/participants and instructors throughout the duration of the program/course; act on any problems or issues that arise.
  • In close collaboration with the Curriculum Directors, collaborate with Marketing & Communications to develop marketing materials for assigned program areas.

  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of assigned program areas: Communications, Leadership, Project Management and Business Analysis
  • Knowledge of a variety of learning styles and learning assessments (360-degree, personality, emotional intelligence, conflict management, etc.).
  • Strong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Power Point.  Exposure to a learning management system (LMS) is preferred.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Masters’ degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an education/training organization.
  • At least 3 years supervisory or leadership experience
