Graduate School USA (GSUSA) offers a certificate program in economics under its Evening and Weekend Programs and is currently seeking candidates for Adjunct Faculty. Teaching responsibilities include the instruction of assigned courses, developing lesson plans, evaluating student progress, and assessing learning outcomes.
The School seeks faculty with expertise in the following areas:
International Politics and Trade Policy
Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in economics or related discipline. Terminal degree strongly desired (candidates with ABD status will be considered).
Minimum of three years of teaching experience. Prefer teaching experience at the college level and nontraditional learners/adult education. Corporate training experience or similar activities may serve as a substitute.
Minimum of three years of professional experience in the field or a closely related field. An earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the teaching discipline or closely related field may serve as a substitute for experience.
Proficient in use of computers, the Internet, applications including Microsoft Office, learning management systems such as Blackboard, and software packages used for economic analysis, forecasting, and simulation, particularly EViews.
Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Focused on student learning.
Intellectual curiosity, creative and dynamic.
Positive, “go-getter” attitude and work ethic.
Active participation in professional societies and/or industry associations.
Working knowledge of accreditation and student learning outcomes assessment.
