The Curriculum and Learning Solutions Division seeks an HR Curriculum Specialist to perform duties in support of the School’s federal HR curriculum product line. This product line consists of courses provided in classroom and online formats in federal-HR-specific subject areas, including recruitment and placement, classification and compensation, employee benefits administration, employee retirement, employee and labor relations, equal employment opportunity, general human resources management, human resources development, and personnel security and suitability. The Graduate School USA offers workforce training and services to federal employees across the U.S. and around the world.


  • Manage the process of making minor course revisions:
    • Determine need for course revisions based on minor technical changes and/or instructor input
    • Determine where materials need to be changed and mark up files
    • Oversee the minor revision process
    • For online courses, make minor revisions to course texts and other instructional materials and repost/make Blackboard changes
    • Work with marketing as assigned regarding revised materials
  • Working with senior manager, follows up, tracks, and pays issued task orders for course development/revision work
  • Manage the publication process for all revisions from initial submission to review and approval of products
  • Provide support on all revisions/new courses, including:
    • Notice of and materials/errata package(s) to instructors
    • Notice of and materials/errata package(s)/files to training management contacts; ensure new versions are used in classrooms
    • Arrange for pilot sessions as needed and oversee/make changes to course materials
    • Initiate changes to website and review revisions when made
    • Marketing
  • Work with senior manager to complete duties such as:
    • Preparing surveys and compile/follow up on results
    • Compile course ratings data
    • Analyze Instructor ratings data and follow up on decided actions
    • Arrange for or conduct instructor meetings
    • Revision/creation of segments of major revision or new course projects under the direction of the senior manager
  • Keep up-to-date on technical changes and state-of-the-art of federal HR
  • Other duties as required.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or related field
  • 3 years of progressively responsible experience that equipped the applicant with a broad knowledge of federal HR concepts and principles, terminology, requirements, procedures, operations, and functions for the subject areas of staffing, classification and compensation, employee benefits, and employee and labor relations.
